reach a state of perfect happiness, oblivious of everything else.

architectural gem.

Matthias, a Belgian creator, had a vision to create a sustainable home, surrounded by greenery, on a walking distance from the ocean and amenities.

(Y)our home is designed & engineered by Tarra Dear architects from Belgium. In a close collaboration with a local craftsmen team - as they know the specific context best.

Using mostly natural materials in the design to feel one with nature.

We intentionally have no paved road to Busua Bliss. To create (y)our private sanctuary.

LET THE LAND SPEAK.

We offer a unique and simple way of living; totally off grid, in a beautifully curated space.

The house is designed to embrace the surroundings, to let the land speak.

Feel the breeze, hear the jungle and ocean sounds, taste the garden fruits and say hi to our rocks in the kitchen.

Small fridge, no airconditioning, one bath house. No fences, no front door, no parties, no noise.

Electricity provided by solar power, water by rains in rainy season or through our borehole in dry season. And yes you can drink from the tap.

A real bliss.

“BUSUA ITSELF IS JUST PARADISE ON EARTH, BUT BUSUA BLISS BRINGS IT EVEN TO ANOTHER LEVEL.”

— Cassi

BUSUA.

Busua is one of Ghana’s most beautiful beaches.

It’s such an awesome place to be. Very welcoming people, a wonderful beach and refreshing waters to cool you down.

The Justice Brothers would love to take you on a surf adventure, have an ice coffee at Pamela’s place, eat a surfers breakfast at Okorye Tree, or catch a fish on the grill with banku on the streets at night. And then go for a cocktail at Ahanta Palms of course.

Dig in Opoku’s vinyl record store, get inspired by Kaia and her vegan kitchen, skate with Jacob, go fashion with Parker or carve your own spoon with Bawa.

Kajak to the island, pull a boat on shore with the fishermen, vibe with the school kids or sing on Sunday in church.

Read a book, practice yoga or just slow down from busy life.

Akwaaba.

MECCA OF SURF.

Busua is the Mecca of surf in Ghana.

Friendly locals, perfect waves, perfect water temperature, what else can we say? The conditions here are also perfect for beginner surfers, as well as for more advanced surfers. On top of that Busua is never really crowded, what makes this beach even more attractive. And if one beach isn’t enough for you, you can always pick one of the many other nearby surf spots.

If this makes you enthousiastic, make sure to check out our Blissful Trips too!

    1. On walking distance you could go to Butre. It is a very nice walk and in Butre you could go to Fort Batenstein. It is a ruin but very nice to visit and the view from up there is breath taking. Also the wooden bridge that connects the town with the beach is highly recommended.

    2. If you walk the other side from the house you could go to Dixcove. There is a fishing harbour and Fort Metal Cross that is very well maintained.

    3. Agona is not too far also by car. It is cool to go there on Wednesday morning when it’s market day.

    4. Takoradi is the big city and could also be cool to go shopping or partying at night.

    5. Nzulezu is a couple of hours from Busua and a stilt village on water.

    6. Cape 3 points is also some hours away from Busua and is the southernmost tip of Ghana with a panoramic view of coastal rainforest reserve, rolling hills and the Atlantic ocean if you are lucky enough you might spot some whales.

    7. On the way back to Accra ( or on the way coming ) you can visit Elmina Castle in Cape coast. Some people combine it with Kakum National Park.
